During the 1920's Sodium bicarbonate aka Baking Soda, was used to hopefully prevent the common cold. Thoughts that baking soda assisted the alkaline balance in the body by, regularly taking small amounts of calcidine and iodine. Today, baking soda is used for numerious reasons. Usage from using it as deodorant to using it around the house for baking and cleaning at an economical price. Baking soda can be used alone, or combined well with other household goods, such as lemons when sanitizing the garbage disposal.
CAUTION, baking soda is not to be used with bleach, ammonia or alcohol due to the possibility of toxic chemical reaction.
